I dont know if it was just a coincidence because i've had lodes of electrical problems with my defender anyway but i bought some and the garage that i took my defender to for its MOT shouted at me for having them in, took them out and binned them they said it was causing more problems and shorting out or something i dont know but its back to standard bulbs and it passed MOT then :) Might have just been mine i dont know

Put them in mine and it went through MOT fine.
They work OK and look reasonable to boot

I got the ones with smd LEDs in them,

9 LED SMD BA15S P21W 1156 12V HID WHITE SIDELIGHT INDICATOR TAIL BULBS (PAIR) | eBay

only issue I had was that landrover seem top wire their sidelight bases backwards (ie the outside of the cap is +ve so needed to change that.

Ill let you know on the MOT next week, but dont see a problem, it passed with rear stop/tail red LED lamps (clear covers) last year with a comment on it was an improvement :)
LEDs are more suceptible to earthing issues themselves with being such low current items, but can actually help in other ways, ie you cant get a reverse flow through (the usual "disco light" earth fault)

Hey guys! Ive just put these in my 1998 90 and they are flickering very fast? Anyone know whey there doing that! My dash lights also are flickering! Seems fine when i first start up but then flicker after a short time driving.

Can only think a poor connection, as they don't draw as much current. Give your fuses a wiggle, possibly battery terminals or possibly earths.

How's the Landy going anyway, don't think I've seen you out in it?
