Leaning slightly when parked.

Hello, my Range Rover 2.5 DSE auto leans slightly on the nearside (pavement side) when it's parked. It seems to be fine when the engine is running but never having one before & only having bought it last week I'm a bit cheesed off to say the least especially if it's a piece of s*@t. It's a '98 model with all the buttons (which all work) you could ask for & is in stunning condition, except of course for the 'lean'. Any ideas what may be wrong. Thanks.

Air bags got a leak?

somebodies butler will be along soon to point you in the right direction.

just a word of advice, stick something in the introduce yourself section it will smooth the way for future posts i assure you.

Most faults on the eas are down to leaks, strong possibility you have a leak, check air bags and pipes with soapy water in a spray bottle, if you have a search in the range rover section there's a couple of how to guides on eas and numerous threads, welcome to range rover ownership

Is the road at an angle?

sounds daft, but would cause the self levelling to kick in!

There might be nothing wrong. Stick a location in your details and you might be able to convince another Rangie owner to drop by, drink your coffee, eat all your biscuits and maybe even run through how your suspension works.

Or try posting your question in the Rangie section. :doh:

Joe1972's comment isn't daft at all. Try parking it somwhere else or even facing the other way. If there was a leak and you left it overnight the self-levelling feature would drop the car all the way down to the bumpstops by morning.

I lean slightly to the right when iv been drinking....... But weirdly slightly to the left when iv eaten too much........... Bit odd really

My disco is leaning forwards and is about 3" lower at the front.

Thanks for the advice. Didn't know who I'd be talking to when I wrote my question & haven't ever been one for this new e-mail malarchy. Much prefer a pint & a chat with a human being. Oh, & I don't have a feckin' butler

You don't say where you are, but I would quite happily let you treat me to a lot of falling-over-water if you are anywhere up in this neck of the woods.

As for a human being ... I'll pass on that one!!

How dare you buy a Rangie !!!

You can have the face-to-face chat as well, just give somebody a clue where you are.

Mind you thinking of some of the ugly mugs on here with prodigious thirsts and appetites maybe through the keyboard is a better, and a lot cheaper, idea.
