Hi, picked up my new discovery 2 (2002) a couple months ago, and there was slight mould in places. Decided to hoover it out the other day..after 2 months and the carpets felt a little damp, so pulled a bit up and sure enough full of water. Decided to remove front seats and centre console, pulled all the carpets out and cleaned and now drying them. Scraped up all the old sound proofing, which just peeled away where wet, but took it all up anyway. Rust isn't as bad as I thought it would be, just a little on the drivers side.
Drove it around with just the drivers chair in and no carpets etc, and today it rained and I found my leak.
This hole in the picture, just under the door wiring harness is where the water is coming out of, so im guessing the whole inside of that "panel" is full of water and then coming out from up where the hole is. I have no idea if the inside of that panel is supposed to be water tight or if it should be open on the bottom? Or do the sunroof drains go down there? Any help would be appreciated.
And one other thing, since removing the centre console and putting drivers seat back, I have the SRS airbag warning light on, but wasn't sure if this was just because I didn't bother reconnecting the seats electric plugs, chair position sensor or something?
