sounds like you need to check the run of tubes from the sunroof as they run down tubes go down the a pillars they do come loose or break away,you will need to lower the roof lining down to get to these also at the ends were the tubes fit in the ends they leak around here as well just seal up with a good silicone sealant,also the motors can leak/or wind mechanism lower these down and put a large amount of sealant around the half circle shape at top,make sure drain run off tubes are running to the outside of the car and not into the footwells i hope this helps tiga.
...just dropped my '96 disco off back to the dealer, after ripping the salesmans head off.
...both sunroofs leaking, all the roof lining has come away, water pouring out of the rear sunroof handle - causing electrical shorts on door light! water puring out all over seats on back !!! ARRRRRRRGHHHHHH!!!!

...pulled roof lining off completly today and re-glued all fabric back on. there are two little drains about 1 1/2 inch square on either side with a pipe on them - they appear to be held on with this black sealant? one was leaking and i covered it with excessive amounts of silicone! not sure how to get to the other end of the pipe? i did pull quite hard on it, is it attached to anything on the other end? if it is it probablly isnt anymore!! help would be appreciated.
tommorrow will investigat the winding mechanism as the rear one leaks!

the pipe from the sunroof runs down the inside of the a pillars and goes down to the kick panels at bottom of a post they should then leak of to out side through the sill i hope this helps tiga.

Just can't think for the moment why I would want to spend 2 days in Blackpool. Rather have a leaking roof ! Must be a Southern thing.

Only two reasons for the sunroof leaking and both of them are seals, fix them and you won't have any leaks.

kind of explains your first post in the thread.....
wondered what you were on about!
oh, and found out my sunroof has redeveloped its leak. re seated the rubber seal last time, and spent ages lookin for the drain tube to stick the airline up. (they dont run down my A pillars)
time to start again with it....this time the headlinings comin out.

ngrserv i read somewhere that the drain end of the sunroof pipe comes out of one of the wheel arches

read that also. but not on mine they dont!
only thing that looked like a tube anywhere near where it should be, was the aeriel coax wire in the door pillar. which i found was a coax after i cut it expecting to stick the airline in it to loacate both other ends....

When your disco left the factory the front drain tubes were in the A pillar but dont exit at the bottom, you will see a hole at the base of the pillar to allow water to drain.
The rear tubes do exit from behind the rear valance to the rear of the mud flap lie down look up and you will see the 10mm tube hanging down.

Is that the drivers side A pillar
Reason I ask is bottom of drivers and passenger pillars were rotten so I filled them with foam before I fill them in.Have I reallyscrewed up
Two tubes on to the left and one to the right A pillar.
