:( Hi all, I'm a newbie to Landy's just bought a 1985 petrol 90. Fair enough, i have some work to do but my brother a 110 owner tells me they're on-going projects so i kind of expected it.
I have a trickle of clutch fluid on the clutch pedal, i thought rather than replace the seal i'll replace the master slave cylinder (job for another day). I have a rumble which is noticable at speed after 2-3rd gear and sounds like it's coming from the axles. My first job was to replace the front and rear axle oil and the front swivel housings oil, i've also greased the prop shafts each end. Still noisy!? I have oil leaking out of the rear hub dust cap on the drive member (i know!!) I would imagine this has washed any grease out of the bearings but dont know until i strip out. I would hazard a guess and say the inner seals have gone hence the leak?? But just maybe, this is why i'm getting the rumble sound as possibly the inner and outer wheel bearings need replacing along with the oil seals. Please could anyone help and advise me of the rumble noise if you think it could be something else?? I would very much appreciate the feedback and comments (be as blunt as you like) Ta very much, Gary

Hi and welcome to a life laying on the drive!

UJs and Wheel bearings are always good places to start

Also worth draining and refilling diffs, transfer box and gearbox
