this started after i adjusted a small amount of play out of the wheel bearing. oil is actually leaking from the dust cap, which split slightly when i removed it. could it just be the cap or is it the hub seal?

definately the plastic cap, wouldn't mind but i didn't even remove the wheel when i did the bearing. by the smell it's axle oil not brake fluid.

I replaced the plastic caps after taking them off. I'd deformed them with a screwdriver. They leaked afterwards. Just buy some news ones, they're quite cheap.

Hi,
I have a similar issue.
One of my hub caps was loose and it came off my 90 while driving. Ive bought a replacement but wondered if I can still drive it without a hub cap until it arrives and if I have to replace the fluid when I put I put it back on.

Thanks
