the bit thats leaking is were the egr goes on to the egr cooler cheers

or is a new valve needed

don't get a new egr valve ..
get a 'egr-delete' unit instead
then you'll never have to worry about an egr valve sticking ever again
and the engine will run better .. and mpg will increase
it's eazee-peeezee to fit an 'egr-delete' unit ..

as for the leak .. it's only a mini clamp that holds that flexi pipe to the egr unit
you should .. if needed be able to source a new clamp with nut 'n bolt ..

if it's the mating surface between flexi pipe an egr .. see if a cleanup would help seal the pipework ..

Clamp Part no. WAN000010L Cost £6.00 (Genuine LR part)

I've bought 2 of these and both have twisted when tightened (not over-tightened) meaning exhaust fumes are leaking. My local mechanic says BMW make a better clamp instead of this jubilee clip. Does anyone know where I could source one or something better than what I have.

Google isn't much help when looking for specific items.

Cheers,
Gary.
