Leak identification

can anyone help identify this leak.
As you can see it’s from the shaft leading towards the transfer box etc.
Is there a seal here that can leak? I found oil dripping from it but unsure if it’s been blown onto it from elsewhere. I ran the engine for a while but couldn’t see where it comes from so I’m guessing it’s when the vehicle is in motion.
Photo taken looking up and to the rear. You can see where the leak has worn the wax oil coating away
