Just got into my 17 plate disco and got a lot of water leaking through the lighting console and along the edge of the roof lining. Appears to be damp right along the drivers side down the a pillar. Can you guys advise? Is it a replacement windscreen or block sunroof drain??

Sounds like a typical water ingress in a Land Rover ...

Might have to take down the headliner to chase the point of entry, could be a rust hole, bad sealer on a panel join, failed seal on a roof bar or even the windscreen seal...

Have no roof bars, mine is a first edition so got a pan roof. Looked abit further and seems to leaking through the plastic lighting console and roof lining damp about 2 inches in from window only on drivers side. It does leak when parked, just when it reversed back earlier a steady stream on water started to leak through… Maybe try windscreen first

Hey! this is a common issue with heated windscreens in the Land Rover Group of vehicles, on average we reseal between 2-6 windscreen a week; this means we remove the existing windscreen without breaking it, strip back all the old glue, clean, prep and prime the glass and vehicle. Once this step is completed it is now time to reinstall the windscreen so with a quick glue up its back in and leak free!

You might be asking what is the point of this? Well a huge very important one... By doing this we fix your issue and stop your car from rust, electrical issues and damp/mould inside the vehicle so with a lifetime guarantee on our workmanship so this will never happen again; this service costs only £150 inc VAT which is also mobile.

You might also be wondering what is different to what you had in your vehicle originally from Land Rover? Surely their windscreen sealant will be better? We use a 2 part glue called Betaseal made by Dupont which are widely known and hugely respected in the industry which doesnt have the same issue as the glue that Land Rover use called Sikaflex made by Sika, also widely used and highly respected however this is a known cause for the issue with Land Rover heated windscreens...

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask or alternatively call us on 0800 054 1080 and our website www.chipsahoywindscreens.co.uk

Is this SPAM ?

Is that better?
Sounds brilliant! What's your company name and where are you based?

And check the seam sealer in the corner panel joints ...
