Hi There!

I have created the start of the LandyWatch website.

I am hoping it can be somewhere to catalogue and list stolen land rovers, recovered land rovers, and suspicious activity in an attempt to work out some patterns and information regarding the theft of our landys.

If anyone is willing to help in any way please send me a PM.

Anyone good with logo's/banners?

Please feel free to register on the forum. I am adding to it over the coming days.

Currently have a Stolen Land Rovers section and a Suspicious Activity section.
Next to come will be a recovered Land Rovers section.

The suspicious activity section is a members only section, so only registered members can see the forum. This should get around the issue of posting suspicious registration numbers to the site, and also prevent the thieves knowing we are on to a particular vehicle.

I am looking for anyone who would like to help get this group off the ground.

Of course that is going to be a possibility. However the whole point of any measure like this is to make things a little more inconvenient for the tea leafs. We can not stop our vehicles being stolen if the thief is determined... but so often they are just out cruising and taking one when the opportunity arises. Any action is better than no action I would have thought.

ye am all for that keep the scum on there toes :D........ were do we register then :confused:
 
I think it would be better if only admin could see the reg of the car. Would cover you legally as well.

You could have an Icon for matched hits to show a vehicle has been seen at numerous places, but putting the reg out, could be unwise - if not illegal.

That sounds a good idea. Could be implemented in the mapping system that is currently being developed.
