Landy stuck in 4 wheel low

Hey guys just bought a series three SwB 1976 stuck in 4 wheel low can't get transfer lever to move any ideas please how I can get lever to 2 wheel high?

Oil it? I take it you have the red and yellow configuration?

Took tin plat cover off poured loads of oil in box wd 40 everywhere stll no joy

Pour boiling water over the housing around where the shaft enters it. They seize in the alloy if unused but this trick usually works

I had to 'persuade' mine gently with a hammer...

Has the transmission wound itself up ???? Try either driving in reverse for a short distance OR try jacking VERY CAREFULLY AND SLOWLY one wheel up to allow it to unwind ...Careful though as IF it's wound enough to lock the range selector it will spin when you lift a wheel

you do know you have to pull red lever back to low then foward to get hi 2wd

Guys why do think everybody is a f idiot I am 60 hrs of age and have been around the block and the world a few times. Thanks for the sensible responses hot water did the trick. For the guys who jerk themselves off on stupid inuendos get a life.
