Hi guys, very new to the landy scene altho very excited but im buying an s reg 2.0 l petrol in jan for £1200,ive viewed this truck thoroughly as it belongs to my partners dad ! cnt wait to get my hands on it and rebuild the carb and change the wheels amongst other things.

Need a bit of help with where to get a good set of rims and tyres from as my budget is very tight and dont really wanna spend to much at this early stage.

Looking at green laning for the start of my experience so any guys in the northampton area that dont mind giving a novice a few pointers or maybe a join in on a laning day lol..............

Other than that.........BRING ON THE MUCK :D

2 ltr petrol is a smashing engine. Very early indeed. You sure?

Well im told its a 2L but im unsure, its runs on points so needs upgrading to electronic ignition, its deffo a 1978 which i think makes it an s reg series 3 according to the internet,i may be wrong ! i no sweet f.a bt these, really keen to learn and get it in the muck but dont wanrt to mjump in head first without being able to swim if u get my meaning

Any particular reason why i shouldnt buy it ??????

a suspected it to be a gaylander - that'd be expensive at £12 let alone £1200

but at £1200 it's gonna have to be a right good Series - if that's what it turns out to be

does it say Nissan on the back ?

Fook me I missed the price for £1200 I'd want a concours condition motor with lots of history. avg condition series 3 int worth more than £500

I think its worth the money i paid for it,the body is in very good nick and the chassis is solid, had a bit of welding done in the past that i can see but its a poor job so ill re-do it !......It has a couple of whining noises and it uses a bit of oil but nothing a new set of stem seals and a head rebuild wont cure(i hope)..... oh and the front hubs leak a bit but other than that im really happy with the running and drive, hate the fooking gearbox tho........some1 tell me if theres a better box that will fit the 2.25 series 3 engine, preferable with 5 speed but not important .................
