hi iv got a land rover defender 90 with a disco 200tdi engine lifted 2" and im 20 with 3 years no clames anyidea who will the best insurance be with? and about how much?

Hi, I had a 110 v8 when I was 22 and insurance was under £400 with tesco but had more ncb, and live in a cheap insurance area I found the big names to be best...

you might have to take the 2inch lift off.

premium really depends where you live?

You could try the NFU (national Farmers Union), I have just got my 110 hi Cap insured with them for me, the wife and our 17 year old son-on a provisional licence- for £380.00,but I have heard they are not keen on anything that is modified, but worth a try

NFU wont insure anyone under 25 on their own policy!

i am 20 and have a 2.5d 90 (non turbo) on a provisional and have no no claims - £880 with my mum & sister on my policy! not bad as i live inside the M25

That was budget and they were the cheapest for me! i found them when i did the insurance search on Autotrader!

Sureterm Direct are one of the agents for Highway Insurance (do modded Landys). My ex military defender 90 with Range Rover 3.9 EFi engine, transmission, axles, diffs etc, 2" lift, thatcham cat 1 alarm/immobiliser was £180 fully comprehensive.

i think thats bloody good for a 20 yr old in surrey.

hi everyon ok i tried loads ov site and they all come back around £1000 and over but i tried Adrian Flux and they wer £888.00 whitch also cover me for offroading and greenlaning!! and all extras all mods!!! and thats with recovery from anywer in the europe!
thanx people

Adrian Flux are the best I found. Im 26 and have a NAS replica 90 which obviously has been modified. They where great very helpful and extremley cheap.

Thinking of buying a second Land Rover (for the winter bloody chilly atm) and A.F have already said they will have no problem insuring it.

Give em a go.

MonsterLandrover! Are you on your own policy or you parents? Because when i phoned them they said i had to be over 25 (and i'm 20) so they could not quote me!!!

nfu might not like your postcode. they prefer rural postcodes.
they hated mine! (refused to quote).

Try FOOTMAN JAMES......I got £185 fully comp on a 1988 90 V8, myself and SWMBO on the policy, with no consideration for no claims accrued elsewhere.....and that includes recovery, Eurotravel and screen replacement.
:D
