Hi,

I'm new to series land rovers and recently brought a IIA 88 SWB model with a 2.8 Daihatsu engine fitted. It seems to run well, but I've noticed the bulkhead gets pretty hot once the engines warmed up and been sitting in traffic. Is this normal? It's a pain when the weather is warm as it can get sweltering inside the cab. Its a shame there's no cold air fan on these vehicles!

Cheers

A warm Series and he's complaining!

He should have been out in lightweights in Germany at night and 20 below.

BBrrrr.......... but still better than a US Jeep with no doors and no heater at all.

Park it Liverpool and it'll soon get all it's windows smashed. but don't let the scousers know that you think they're a bunch of criminal thugs or they'll threaten to glass you.

They do get hot, it's normal (so long as yer injun is at operating temp', not running really hot). It's good in Winter, a bit pony in Summer. Open yer windows, open yer vents, buy a battery powered fan and attach it to yer dash & if it bothers you that much take yer roof off.
