upto a few years ago there used to be a big land rover car boot type thing any idea what its called and if its still running this year

I went along last year and was rather disappointed. Didn't seem nearly as busy as photo's I had seen of the event in previous years. Figured it was quiet because of the general lack of cash.
Then again I did get a couple of useful bits, so it was worth going.:)

Wasn't there some upset with the landowner or something a couple of years ago and it moved or missed a year or two? I think that's when it lost it's steam a bit. It used to be massive, and packed.

sortouts are good for someone that is looking for used parts, not shinny bits to bolt on....

the sodbury sortout used to be at the newbury showground, then it moved to the Beaulieu show, in September, near the New Forest...

however, there's still 4x4 sort outs taking place at the Newbury showground, been to the last one and came back with some cheap stuff...

I think the next 4x4 and vintage spares day in newbury is on the 2nd and 3rd of April

What kinda stuff they sell?

you could build a complete wagon out of bits from there if wanted

Sodbury sort out
location i think it goes to the different shows now as last 2 years it has been mixed in with the Peterbourgh landyfest

what kind of stuff?

all kinds... you have breakers selling gearboxes, engines, bonnets, doors, starter motors....etc...
private sellers selling old bits, like rads, seats, jacks, tow ropes,etc....

shops selling new stuff.....

last time I went to Newbury bought a bullbar for 20quid...
a mate bought a brand new half roofrack with mounts for spots and all tubular for £80....

there's all kinds of stuff there, a lot of junk too, but you need to search and ask.

if you want stuff in good condition to look nice.... forget about it, better off buying an internet shop...

if you dont mind a snorkel that has been used and might be scuffed... then its a good place to go.

just remembered, 2 years ago in the old sodbury in beaulieu I also bought a pair of Sparco harnesses for £25....
