Clamps onto roof bars used to be the same.
Unsure if the distance between roof bars is the same. Some one will need to measure
(Freelander ones fitted my Bedford van

What you need to do is go out & measure the gaps and look at the profile of the runners .

As the D4 is larger than the FL2, it makes sense that cross bars are different lengths.
If the OP is talking about roof rails, then they are definitely different, and don't even fit to the roof in the same way.
