Landrover freelander 2006 HELP

Was driving td4 land rover and battery light came on then went off... but then next day all the lights radio etc were flickering and then car cut out and wont start. Battery or alternator? And is it easy to replace or is it a garage job? And if so anyone know how much? Only wanted to replace and fix to then sell car thanks

Sounds more like a bad connection on the main battery terminals, or earth lead to the body.

It was the day after changing a bulb out the backlight that got water in.. next day poof off

It's probably coincidence, as the tail lights are on individual circuits. Check the battery terminals for corrosion and tightness, including where the negative wire bolts to the body.
