i took seltot to court but i lost my case but in a way i won all for £75 pound part
i didn't have all the information i needed to win my case so it was dismissed
because i am like every other man i always throw away my receipts. because i didn't have a paper trail i lost in away (GOD DAMN YOU PAPER RECEIPTS)
BUT HERE IS THE POT OF GOLD AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW
the two managing director of selltot landrover city , nca motors , traveled from poland thats where they live by car
they put a counter claim for travel
but because landrover city , nca motors , selltot are registered as a company in essex i only had to pay from essex to manchester not from poland (they traveled by car to manchester from poland including ferry cost )
the magistrate asked them how much would it cost from essex they said they didn't know so he dismissed the counter claim before they could react to the judgment the magistrate walked out
thank you the uk justice system
you should have seen there faces it looked like a baby sucking a lemmon

dont for get they have to go back again at there own cost
OK so i lost so what
who do you think was the real looser
so if it happens to you dont be afraid to seek justice some times it works in your favour some times not in total it cost me £155 including the new part and court cost and they could of settled for that but no so it cost landrover city , nca motors , selltot much much more

I throw away my receipts for bog roll and carrots, I keep anything that might be useful, for obvious reasons.

I'm paranoid so i stuff them in my back pocket. Anything important goes in my wallet, anything else in my pocket to later be used to wipe my dipstick

So what happened exactly.

A paper receipt is just proof of purchase. There are other legally valid proof of purchases such as bank statements, credit card statement etc

My wife keeps all her receipts and nothing ever goes wrong for her, I throw mine away or lose that and I have nothing but trouble. There's a moral in there somewhere.

there were five points to my case
point one to link all the companies together ( landrover city , nca motors , selltot ) i won
point two the original cost of installation i had no receipt when i went back to the garage they wanted the exact date of fitting to issue a duplicate this i didn't know so i thought i would wing it with the magistrate i lost as i paid cash no paper trail
point three i took the car back to the garage where it was fitted to fault find when the bearing failed they wrote a report but the magistrate classed this as not being independent he said i should have taken it back to a different garage to get a report i lost
point four the cost of the replacement part even though i had a bank statement with this cost on it from german swedish and french carparts (gsf as shown on bank statement ) because it didnt list the parts the magistrate said this could be any company or any carparts i lost
point 5 refitting of bearings i had the receipt but because i couldn't show the the original bearings failed surfishilanty enough this he dismissed so i lost
but they lost a hell of a lot more traveling from Poland

Hence the reason why I pay for everything on a credit card these days, always on the statement, instant paper trail.

Cash is only for trusted sellers and lumps of metal that are relatively unimportant as I can beat them to death with a hammer. Electrical, Mechanical and services are always on a credit card, they are the ones who are going to fight your corner as in effect it was their money being stolen.

i thought pay pal would help but because it was outside there time limit so i tried the bank but because paypal was a representative the bank wouldn't help but like i say landrover city , nca motors , selltot lost a lot more than me that made me very happy

i bought a vcu recon with bearings and the berings failed within 6 months i tried to claim under the warranty they wanted me to send the hole unit back for them to check the bearings i would have to pay for the post both ways yet they wouldn't send me a return address so i replaced the bearings my self then they said the warranty was void so i took them to court

Anything like that should be reputable companies only ie, Ashcrofts, BAS, Dave Beaumont, I wouldn't trust anyone else unless they were my local indy within spitting distance so I could go fire bomb them out of business for being twunts, but even then, I'd still pay by credit card.

Yep, but they're not as easily offended as I am about being ripped off by thieving bastids

I secured a replacement steering box a few years ago on the grounds that the part was 'unfit for purpose' due the fact that it started leaking after only 2000m. The supplier at first declined on the grounds that the 12month warranty had expired but when I reminded them of my rights they grudgingly conceded. I can't remember the name of the supplier (the part was sourced by my indie.) but it was a well known brand. I later sold the vehicle before the replacement had a chance to fail
