Hi all. I have a landrover challenge chasis/cage. I purchased this around 2 years ago to build, but didnt realise the skill needed! Any ideas of where is best to sell such a specialised item?

I purchased it from someone i met off roading and i have it on ebay but hasnt had any interest, but as its not what i thought i purchased i dont know much about it.

It hasnt had interest for the amount i believe it to be worth, wether this is because its quiet specialised or wether its not worth what i think. So was looking for abit of advice from someone who knows abit about these things.

No, I've got no idea what they are worth.

Try advertising it with an asking price of "Serious Offers" and see what sort of response you get. You'll be able to determine what people are willing to pay for it then.

Yes, ive being told its designed for 3 winches and has the mounts for the big gas struts.
I know the person who made it is from the uk, was built to the correct specs. Ive contacted the person ive bought it from to see if he knows who built it. Its being a couple of years now though.

Specialist item so limited market.
And thanks to covid lots of people without any money to spend on toys.
You may be better sitting on it until 'normality' resumes - however long that might be.

I'm with the £500 estimate. There's not the money about and it still needs a lot of work. Also time moves on so every year better designs come out and new ideas.so there's a limited window to sell, better off load it now at any price rather than spend a lot of time chasing the value down. I would jet wash it, measure every dam thing, take the 12 photos e-bay allows and put your best shot into the add. Do a google images search and see if you can find something similar in an action shot. Put that that in the add "serving suggestion, real item may look different..." Remember the Theory of the greater fool" - a fool has not over paid if he can find a greater fool to sell it to. Find that fool and make them feel good about your chassis.
