Hi, so my central locking key only works when it wants to sometimes it’s fine and then the next I have to enter my code as engine goes disabled and unable to open doors via central locking. Then I enter the code and I re tune the key and it works again for a while. However then does the same and the key stops working again until I then enter the code and re tune the key again any ideas.

Petrol or diesel? FOB battery weak or corroded contacts. Drivers door lock micro switches failing. RF FOB receiver failing. Interference from a wireless door bell for example. I could go on, diagnostics is the only certain way to find out what is wrong.
If you have access to diagnostics, you can turn off the EKA code function, the car will then operate just using the key blade.

Check the battery terminals inside the key. They could be losing contact especially after a key has been dropped and the contacts are shocked by the fall. 🤔
