Can you advise me if this is correct, stripping down a landrover 90 2.25 petrol engine to refurbish it, on stripping down the cylinder head and removing valve springs I found the valve springs have a smaller spring inside the larger spring, can any one advise me if this is a standard or has this head been upgraded.
Thanks Rod

Valve bounce?
who takes that engine to 6000 rpm?
it does avoid harmonics and enables weaker springs to be used and is safer if a valve spring breaks..........
