Hi, about 4 months back my land rover was stolen luckily it had a tracker fitted and as i know with all cars of this sort they tend to drive out a bit and leave it some where close to watch, just see if it has got anything like this fitted anyway this was at borne market came back to load it up nd it was gone, called the police and went looking myself with my brother in his car and my dad in his searching the back roads etc we found it parked up beside aload of flats the door lock was ripped straight out, so who did it knew exactly how to do it, the steering rack is twisted so will have to source one of those out myself the ignition barrel has been removed yet i was able to jump start it and drive it home, what i found odd was the satnav wasnt touched and the cd player sat on the passenger seat.
anyway because i found the car myself and i wasnt going to take it any farther withthe police or being stolen as i didnt want to report it and get less then what i paid for it my question is this, im going to have to change the door locks along with the steering lock etc how will they get past the imoboliser? do i buy the locks with one or can they be coded?
or can give me a list of parts i may need, i know i need a new door coz its sustained alot of damage and steering rack/wheel etc but what else?
