My friend was helpin me take my 2 1/4 petrol out when doing the 200tdi conversion - we had it on the hoist and i was under knocking it apart from the transfer box - he was at the front tugging.

Engine suddenly went, swung forward on hoist and sliced off a massive part of his palm (it was trapped between the front pully on the engine adn the front of the chassis.

The short loud scream followed by silence made me realise it was very bad so was quickly out from under the landy, bandaged him up and off to A&E for lots and lots of stiches!

had to pay a arm and leg to get my lanny

Ha ha, I would say it was closer to the Michael Jackson!

I severed my left arm clean off just below my wrist when a farm jack failed.... hospital could do nothing. Pleased to say I have a second hand shop around the corner and they saved the day

He's armless really ...

I think the weld spot being removed with a magnet should be classed as 'Surgery at Home' and worthy of a write up in the Lancet My fave for now is the bonnet catch embedded in the skull.
