Hi there everyone,
Hope everybody reading this is doing well ! I am reaching out to the forums members as i require some assistance in sourcing a Rover / Land Rover part which i cannot find anywhere. The part is an engine ECU. Its part number is MKC103290 and its a MEMS 1.6 ECU with two black plugs for the 2.0 Mpi T-Series engine. I wish to find a New Old Stock unit as i have had bad experience with used parts. I understand i could repair my existing one (if feasible) but i wanted to avoid this scenario. Please drop me a message in case you could assist. Many thanks in advance for taking the time to go through my enquiry ! I have posted this elsewhere as to enhance the possibilities of finding such a part so please be aware you might see this post on other forums.
Kindest Regards

I won't be seeing the post on other forums, as I don't look at them.
I don't have the part either.

But I think this engine was also used in the Austin Princess, made new by British Leyland.
And someone must have taken over the BL parts operation, so if you can find out who, and get in touch, they should supply the part.

I think @marjon has one of these engines, so tagging him to see if he can assist.

I do have 1 of these rare beasts.
I would say I wouldn’t know where to start to find a new old stock, but they were fitted to many rover cars.
You obviously known which 1s as you have said you have tried used 1s. So your choices are limited and the chances of finding a new 1 I would think is a long shot.

when you say other forums, I am guessing you mean the rover car forums cos to me that would be your best chance of finding somebody that may know.

I would ask what issues are you having to make you think it’s the ecu that’s the problem?

Nope that was another thread when we pinned it down to one of them engines:).

Many thanks for your quick response and the advice on who to contact !

What did your T4 actually say though?
You have a faultmate MSV dont you? cos you know BBS do a pack that will read and do some stuff to the MEMS.
Their stuff is as good and often better than T4 as you probably know already:).

Good luck with your search.

I did have an MSV, however i was not that satisfied. That's why I bought the T4. Many thanks for your kind wishes on my search !

I would doubt they have a landrover one as they are Rover MG K series ecu specialists but they worked for mg rover before it closed on mems ecu development, so they will certainly be able to offer you good advice. The 2.0l petrol Discoveries are extremely rare in the UK I have never seen one in the flesh and only ever seen three for sale.

UPDATE !!!
Hi there everyone ! I have managed to source two of these ECUs from Italy ! So problem solved. I figured i would get both just in case.
Kindest Regards

Good news:).

So we now know who has cornered the market and got them both:p.

hope it runs ok now.

Hello there,
Many thanks for the kind words ! She runs great ! However the Disco now started emitting a loud knocking noise of high frequency. I cannot determine its origins though. Have posted a new thread on this. Lets see !
