only on his last statement... i just read back awhile... what a load of bollox!

and tommy your not cool slagging xc or road riders and just being into dh. its not only gimps who wear lycra. i used to ride national dh events for scott usa but then i also used to race internationally on road bikes for Wales.

i do agree with your armour point though.

Whoa! Im not slagging off XC riding at all, at least its not my intention or i was ****ing about. I do XC myself occasionally, its a laugh with mates. Ill certainly never wear lycra though!

Back to the point, all im saying is that mountain biking has progressed a lot over the years, as has the equipment - so naturally the terrain is very different, ie harder and more dangerous. People with any sense want to protect themselves from serious injury, which still occurs a lot even with it.
Again ill point out that im talking about DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKING, not cross country, which is different altogether.

I'd enjoy reading a sensible, constructive reply, not a blind insult at the person above about how crap you think bikes are please.

You're missing one salient point, this is a Land Rover forum & frankly I and I would guess most on here don't give a downhill flying **** about how riding a bicycle has progressed over the years or the relative differences of DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKING, cross country or Granny Grunt teetering down to the local offie' on her tricycle.

The only reason this now pointless thread went the way it did was because you were stupid enough to drag your cocksucking mates across from Downhilldicksonbikes.com to join a forum they had little too no interest in apart from a vague reference to a 90 & a thread on here about Land Rover branded bicycles.

Well, don't you look a ****wit now Tom Tom? I wouldn't expect much help from many on here & if you do want to claw back even an ounce of credibility on here I suggest you stop claiming this pathetic superiority over people who could tie you up in intellectual knots if they could actually be bothered to flex a mental muscle. I can't blame them for treating a ridiculous pedal pushing waste of space such as yourself or any of your barely pubescent mates with the bare contempt they deserve.

So, do us a lemon, fack orf. :D

Its an internet forum, im sure ill get over it. You lot seem not to have!
The 'invasion' was in jest, y'know, it happens on forums... You're all too serious and dont seem to have much decent humour among you.

BTW, dont you have moderators/admin on here? I wouldnt mind being banned... please?

oh yuz - we have a sense of humour:D
and as fur being banned - unlikely - we allow most **** on this forum - yu have to be spectacularly crap/obtuse/painful to get banned - it has been known but it gets talked about fur years!;)

One thing we are not is serious. You were a bunch of dicks trading insults. It would have been 'they' were a buch of dicks, but you were dumb enough to invite them over.

We laugh at and with the people on this forum a lot. You've been here for long enough to have read a few threads FFS, you must have got some idea by now?

And you want 'decent' humour? So sorry what is on here doesn't fit within your seemingly narrow frame of reference. Don't like it? Then feck off. Like it? Stay. Invite a bunch of dickwads over? Expect a virtual kicking and a distinct lack future help.

Isn't complicated is it?

People with any sense want to protect themselves from serious injury, which still occurs a lot even with it.

So what you are basically saying in your post is this: "beacuse mountain biking and equipment has progressed, then this planet, which has been around for maybe thousands upon thousands of years, has made itself different, ie harder and more dangerous to suit"

what the **** are you on ? stay out of your mums medicine cabinet and give us all some peace!
