Hey there, I'm Dave, brand new to the forum.
Do you still have the Land Rover Enthusiast magazines mentioned in this thread? 2005 issues through their merge with Land Rover Monthly.
I am struggling to find an article I'm told was written about a Land Rover pickup in LaMerced Peru in 2009 or 2010. The truck had been around the world and finally donated to Scripture Union Peru mission for use at one of their rescued boys camps. It had to be disassembled to get it across the river to the camp and reassembled.
My ultimate purpose in finding the article is to see if I can muster interest in helping the camp replace it. Sadly, when I visited the camp this summer I found the old Rover partially disassembled because two pistons were....."misdirected" through the side of the engine block. The truck was vital in getting supplies and people up a step hill from the river up to the camp.
Any help you can offer would be wonderful.
