land rover discovery water presser problem

ok i have a 1995 disco i have no idear if its a disco 1 or 2 ???????
anyway the problem is that when i start it up the water presher is very hi and on tick over it is like the timing of the preshear is the saem as the piston strokes its like im running a steam engine lol but there is no oil or fuel in the header tank i have flushed all pipes thro this is my first land rover and not shore what's coursing it please help do i need a new head gasket ????? o allso if some 1 could tell me what mk land fover i have please its a very l8 1995 2.5tdi thanks

so you think its a head gasket then any idear on what modle mine is is it a 300tdi ?

mate lol try doing a search on head gasket next to new post on top of page, should steer you in right direction.
