hello can any one help my disco 300tdi cuts but doesnt stall when i press the go pedal but runs fine when i just tickle it fine in first gear it worst in 2nd & 3rd gear please help

have changed the fuel filter today but its still doing it when its cold its ok but when she warms up then she plays up

if its an auto it will be the potentiometer on the accelerator pedal or if its a manual i would replace the fuel filter as it sounds like fuel starvation
have changed the fuel filter but still doing it no so bad when engine is cold

Couple of things worth looking at.
Have you ever cleaned out the "other" fuel filter , the sedimentor? If not I would do it.
Possible air leak into fuel lines. Start by having a look at the condition of the elbows on top of the fuel sender unit int the tank. They corrode and perforate letting in air.
Hope this helps

hello have checked the sedimentor but it has been bypassed by someone ?? so i then checked the sender unit the elbows are rusty & the plastic bit they go into has a crack init about 1/2 inch in the feed pipie

My freind has a td5, he had this same problem, turns out it was overboost! his wastegate was stuck closed.

I'm not up to scratch on the disco (or any other diesel) turbo control system, but have a good look at the vac hoses on the system, also check you wastegate actuator is not split, pull the pipe off and you should not be able to suck on it!

Good luck.

:) its fixed after all that checking fuel problems it was the immobiliser running sweet now thanks to every one for the suggestions

was just going to post about this..

mate on his 300 had a similar problem.... would drive fine in 1st then as speed was picking up would start to cut off, feeling like fuel starvation...

what was causing this was the spade conector on the back of the fuel pump that was a bit loose..
