right on the way in to work this morning both dipped head lights went out, so i flicked to main beam and that worked fine so continued to work (less than 400yds).
now both my dipped beam isn't working but my side lights and main beam work on flash and also on the stalk. but whilst the switch is on dipped my nearside headlight is lite up on main beam extra bright.
i have checked and cleaned the earths, replaced both bulbs, removed bullets cleaned and put back together on all wiring at the back of both headlights and also i have checked the fuses.
now on my o/s head light fuse without a fuse in holder i get 12v but as soon as i put a fuse in i lose all feed, n/s fuse holder has 12v with or without fuse.
if anyone can help i would be greatful as i've been at it for 4 hrs now and starting to loss the will to live.:(
oh and i've search relavent threads but nothing seems to help also i'm unsure if i have a dim dip relay on a landy of this year.

You might have a headlamp relay, and if so, it sounds as though yours isn't working properly.

If you don't have a relay, have you considered fitting one?
