VPLDR0063. So I'm missing a bolt, 8 x 2 hole drilled plates and two nuts. I wonder why they put four lugs with a hole on the front if nothing goes on em?

Check that the retaining plates (the piece with two holes), haven’t rusted themselves onto the inside on the rack brackets (you can see where they fit on the diagram). They’d be a piece of piss to make if you’re missing them.

Bloody hell yer on form with roof racks :D I dunno if the plates are actually welded on as I'll move on to wire brushing the brackets on the rack tomorrow. It looks at the mo as thought the nuts are welded on to the rack?

Getting back to ladders, my moneys on the second ladder. No new holes needed in the bodywork by the look of it.
That's a great shout. The whole reason I've got the roof rack is for luggage, but also top mount two reversing cameras point sideways cos I didn't want to put holes in the body. They're the ones. Cheers.

Those brackets look a bit homemade! Definitely not the originals, but that needn’t matter. Do you know if the previous owner had a bit of an accident with the rack attached in the past? Might explain those twisted bits of thin sheet metal in the bottom right of your first photo!

He bought his landy with the roof rack on a couple of years ago from a chap in London who had bought it to make it into a chelsea tratter but changed his mind. The bloke I got the roof rack off sold his landy without the rack last year and was clearing his garage out so I bought it. Do you mean the light mounts? It's snowing here and freezing so I'll take better pics in daylight tomorrow.
