lack of power p38

hi

thought i would ask you guys

p38 mot fail on CO emissions and she has a power lack she will get up to speed if i dont try and boot it ( i miss my v8 pull ) HELP!!!!!

anyone got any ideas

new plugs and ht leads so not that

readings for co fail are

fast idle speed
CO:0.957%

Second Fast idle speed
CO : 0.699%

Natural idle speed
CO: 1.057%

everthing else was fine
the lost of power is such a pain any ideas????

i would place an educated guess on air flow meter lack of power and high emissions with no engine mil lamp illuminated are classic symptoms, but codes need reading from engine ecu and live data looking at really

Perhaps you have a clogged up catalytic converter or other exhaust constriction.

it cant be the exhaust as it is brand new less than 50 miles ago

I'd be looking at the air flow meter. Did the lamda sensors get checked when u did the pipe? Did you check there was nothing in it when it was fitted-I've found an oily rag in one before, ok it didn't block the pipe,but???
