my 2002 is using about 2 pints of water a week no signs of head gasket gone tho any idears

Whats your oil like?Any sign of mayo on the oil filler cap?Loss of power or smokey wxhaust?Does it leave any puddles after running?

oil is dead clean no smoke loads off power to

soubds like a leak else where then, although a pressure test will confirm it either way

Are there any powdery or gunky antifreeze tracking marks on any of the coolant pipe connections/unions that may indicate a leak?

Hi I had the same problem, with no signs of water leak in the oil etc. It eventually got worse and it was the head gasket.

Wow that is what I call a thread resurrection!!
Valley pan leaking is not visible as the coolant can evaporate or leak out through two drain holes at the rear of the engine and onto the bell housing or maybe even be inside it as when I removed my transmission there was coolant stains inside. The coolant manifold or water pump pipe O rings are also right at the rear of the engine. But the pressure test mentioned would help diagnose
I would imagine the OP has long got rid of his RR but may be of use if someone stumbles across this. The above is referring to the 4.4 petrol.
