L322 wet door lining

Hi all, after some help/advice again please. My 2002 L322 seems to have developed a liking for storing water in the rear off side passenger door pocket. I've checked all the seals, the window, the drainage holes and can't find anything wrong. Yet, the door lining is damp, the pocket is wet and when I open the door water splashes down from the kick plate. It's as if it can't drain away between the door and the kick plate.
Anyone got any ideas why this may be happening. Thanks in advance.



Oh and CD player is also being a pig but I'll save that one for another day

seal behind door card could be the problem, on some of my even new bimers it was a problem, haven't had any on the Rangie - yet... (Parked under roof)
seal is to lead water ingress at window seal down through the door and out the drain in bottom of door & prevent water ingress into the car. New seal or some DIY filler was two fixes i tried.
Door card off - water hose on window - time/patience observing inside door seal bottom and you will see if thats the reason. (Might just be tiny drops but over time many drops becomes....)

there was a bulitin about this, the door needs re-alining. it holds water between the inner and outer seal.

Thanks to both of you. Will look into both remedies. Was it a JLR bulletin Arron, or a bulletin amongst those in the know?

Update, haven't had time to get her in to check doors, so have bought a car cover which has resolved the issue for now Will get the doors checked when I have time.

check underneath of door there should be holes in it for draining this problem ,,,take card off and clear rubbish if any in the well of the door and blow the holes throgh with air line ,,then dry it out and re check after next rainfall ,, "which wont be long in this fkin wet country of ours especially up in the trossachs cheers mozz

Old post, I know, but I have same issue with my rear driver side. Did you have yours sorted in the end?

Searching on the net, watching this video (from min 7) is my suspicion my case as the door panel does not sit flush. What was your reason?

What is the treatment for the little rust that it gave birth to? I read that Lanoguard is recommended? do you prep the surface before?

Hi. Mine did the good old LR 'physician heal thyself' and resolved it without input , other than clearing the drainage holes. I also do a quick open and drain of all doors after heavy rain. Which seems to help. Oh and put dessicant pouches in each cubby..
I don't want to tempt fate but at 20 yrs old the door edges are fine. Many other bits have had to be done, but those are ok.
