Hi Guys
When on the motorway the car goes into it's squatdown mode as normal. My question is how much lower is this than manual low mode? Is there a way of forcing the suspension into this hopefully very low mode when the car is stationary? I have a very lazy dog who at the moment doesnt like jumping into the boot when the car is dropped to it's lowest point. If it could be force to the motorway setting it may be just enough for her to jump in. Don't fancy buying a dog ramp as will look a real numpty using one o them.
Thanks
Rob

its mainly the front that drops on motorway mode so if your dogs jumping onto the boot then acess mode is lower

Motorway mode is 20mm higher than access mode.

In terms of vehicle height :

Access = 1820mm (5ft 11.7")
Motorway = 1840mm (6ft 0.4")
Standard = 1863mm (6ft 1.3")
Off road = 1913mm (6ft 3.3")

(heights apply to pre-'05 L322 without shark fin sat. nav. aerial)

There is a lower mode than access mode (for when the car is delivered lashed down on a transporter) but this is disabled once the vehicle gets to the dealer.

Place dog in general direction of boot. Lift it's front legs off floor by pulling sharply on a short lead. At same time give it a swift kick up the arse. It will learn not to be lazy in a few days.

Cheers for the info guys. Warmers might not use that method but thanks anyway. Lol. Worst thing is she's a bloody Labrador aka gundog designed for jumping over stuff so should get into the rangy boot easy.

L322 has a dial, that allows you to select three of the four available heights. You can select Off Road, normal, or access. Motorway mode is automatically selected after travelling for over 30 secs at 70mph IIRC.
Access mode can only be selected at slow speed, as it limits the amount of suspension travel available...

I was answering the question KDS asked, not suggesting how Air suspension might help the original poster get his dog in the boot!!... that has already been answered.....
