L322 Side Steps

Hi,

I just bought a set of aftermarket side steps for my 05 L322. Instructions are appalling. I have got the the side steps & mudflaps bolted on ok but I'm struggling to get decent alignment with the car and so that mudflaps fit neatly to the wheelarch & to the end of the steps.

At present there is approx 5mm gap between the step & the sill. Should the side step actually touch the sill ?

Any decent instructions and/or tips greatly appreciated !
