L322 New owner

Morning everyone
I've been a member for a while and a rr fan since my first drive in a classic in the early 80's but only just managed to join the ownership club!!!
Bought a 2002 3.0 Vogue (black with rr bull bar and spots, love it) but have a few niggles and need some advice
1, drivers mirror does not work and left one folds when requested but goes back out again instantly????
2, airbag red symbol is lit on dash, horn does not work and seller says wheel was replaced, is this all linked and how do I fix
3, anyone with fault reader near west of Ireland, i'll pay for your time to come and check it out

With the drivers mirror you might try setting your memory seat with the mirrors as you like them inc the rear view one if its included in your spec. Details in your handbook.
Airbag symbol on not good and an MOT failure. Whilst the red light is on the airbags are not armed and will not opperate to save your life in an accident. Points to the wheel being replaced??? (WHY) and will probably need a proper diagnostic (not just a fault reader) to reset and see why the horn isn't working too - does sound like a bodge job though who would pass that off as a finished and proper job!. When working on parts of the SRS system switching on the ignition with plugs undone isn't good. Airbags are frightening things you should ask if it was just the wheel or wheel and airbag off another car. Airbags have a life of about ten years and need replacing after that. Your service book will explain.

Chap on this forum IRISHROVER might help he has some kit.

Will be very interested in what you find. I have a niggling problem with the srs light comming on, its when my wife drives and the seat is moved giving a little pull on the switch under the seat, unplug and replug (ignition off) and it works ok again, must get round to a perm fix one day. Other problems with the wheel situation is bad connectors or rotary coupling not done correctly. Sometimes the cruise doesnt work and odd radio functions from the wheel switches. Moving the wheel in and out can sometimes reveal a loose connection. But he must get an expert and not fiddle about (especially with a test meter which can trigger the bag) to sort it - wheel off and all.
And all assuming the relay and fuse has been checked too. Use the Force!

yep my wheel was taken off thats when prob started i will get round to look at it soon

Its got 22" Kahns which are a bit 'Big' so if anyone wants them in the west of Ireland, give me a pm.
