I'm trying to take off the left side panel from the centre console - it is in two pieces. The front (with the wood trim) piece came off easily with one torx screw to remove and then a gentle pull. I have removed a second torx screw from the forward edge of the second panel (running along the cubby box) but nothing seems do be coming loose. I learned the knack to removing this panel on my P38 but the L322 is quite different and I'm afraid of breaking something. Any advice appreciated.

I can't say for definate but a lot of the trim on the L322's are fastened with decent pull/press fastenings (or whatever theyre called in the trade - the little plastic gubbins) I've had the drivers side section off on mine when fixing the heater controller but not the passenger side and if there's no visible tork screws to undo then I'd be tempted to say there just clipped in.

I've made a couple of calls to the parts dept at the local dealers before now and just acted a bit dumb to gleen some info out of them. If they don't know they generally go and ask one of the technicians.

not sure if you've needed to remove the centre console controls either but they have fixings on the top and bottom (3 across each section - outer one's about an inch in) and they just prised out.

best of luck,

Mike

I'll have to double check in the morning but I think the tork screw was towards the rear of the panel to drop the lower piece out (inline with the brake pedal).

I've had the air conditioning unit out on my last one as well and that had two clips top and bottom about an inch or so in. a flat piece of metal like a radio removal key would be ideal for the job.

If you're needing to replace the top section of trim im not 100% sure but would have thought pulling out the air cond/suspension panel would help.
