L322 L322 ignition barrel not working.

I’m having trouble with my 2003 L322 ignition, tried fuse 18 and the footwell light to Column hake without any joy. The steering lock cycles through three times then returns to the locked position and the key will not turn past position one. No lights on dashboard and no power to ECU port. I have removed the ignition barrel, but I’m unable to access the solenoid that locks and unlocks the ignition. Hoping someone here may have encountered the same problem and have a solution.
