L322 front sway bar removal

I wondered if any one has the system of. How to remove the front sway bar to replace?

Sway bar is the American terminology.

Is your anti-roll bar worn out or is it just the bushes?

It's the bushes but they are glued on

Are you cleaning the bar and using aftermarket split D bushes?

I was going to change the whole thing but how would I get them off and clean the bar

I presume your intending to fit a used one in better condition then, that's not such a bad idea.........if the replacement is way newer with perfectly bonded bushes.

For time immemorial manufacturers used seperate split D bushes, this bonding nonsense is a ploy to make the car too expensive to maintain.......hence there must be aftermarket seperate bushes available.

Yes it's in better condition I've got the old one loose but can't move out I have seen someone used a nylon ratchet strap to pull the ends in to be able to get it out but thought that might be a bit far fetched?

I've not had one out so I can't comment from experience.

Not sure if this link is truly accurate but there are also poly D bushes claiming to also be RR MK III.

I sway from a bar but never two, I mean to.

When I was in Rimmers a few weeks ago got talking to a local builder not seen for years he runs an old l322 for taking the dogs down the fields (stick with me I`ll get to point in a mo) after a while one of the parts guys comes out and hands Stef what looked very much like orange poly bush anti roll bar bushes and says these should last a bit longer, so just maybe the bushes are out there.

It’s definitely an automatic

Just the bushes can be replaced......originals are indeed bonded to the bar, but you can replace just the bushes.....and hammer the U clamps back in place!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but yes I read rave and that bits sorted thanks but I now have a new problem I've changed the dam

Glad to hear it's sorted.
I know the L322 has water ingress issues but you're really unlucky if you've found a dam in yours
