Hi people, Can I charge my battery while connected or do I have to take at least one lead off, with this lockdown battery is getting a pasting, thanks guys and girls.Rob

I leave mine connected no reason why not. Mines on the charger now.
All my bikes are on trickle chargers to keep them topped up whilst locked up for the duration, they closed all the test centres down 2 weeks before anything.

Hi, thanks I'm at a lose some say take earth off , as you know if I disconnect just about everything will need to be reset, don't want over load the system.

I never bother disconnecting battery on my l322, made up a lead so leave charger in garage and plug into the 12s socket on tow bar.
Thanks, great idea shall do something like that myself

Iv a smart charger usually leave everything and anything connected
If you connect via the towing 7S socket, as long as you connect the charger BEFORE plugging into the mains, there is no need to disconnect the battery with any reasonable charger. However, some older chargers have a very rough output and need the battery disconnected and IMO should not even be used on a Lead/Calcium battery as the voltage is often not high enough.

Thanks for the input.
