l322 bad drive

Hi I have a small problem have the car back to gever now but drive is slipping manual 1234 work for a bit then going in to trans safe mode and reverse works great am I now looking at a new Torque converter please help me car is a l322 td6

Sounds more like a new gearbox to me unless it's low on oil.

Ok so have just found a leak at the gearbox oil cooler dripping a lot can this be the problem thanks

Small leak over a long period of time equals big loss, a bit like losing a beloved moderator.

Ok so I have just put a new engine in and a new bellhosing and gearbox oil pump in and 1st drive today was bad very little drive in d can get to 30 in manual but reverse is great the box was good before new engine and I have had no fault coads oil is topped up have has safe mode come up a lot did get gear monitor 2 and 3 fault come up 1 time what is number 34 /35 don't no what that is can some one please help me out thanks

and the leaking i have found is making the box loss presser so can this make the Torque converter not operate properly

Yes loss of fluid will reduce pressure, fix the leak top up the gearbox and your good to go.

I'm currently flushing my gearbox it's a v8 petrol tho.

Ok will sort this in the morning as its losing a lot have lost 1/2 to one liter hope ist just this as when you put it in drive it revs up then moves very slow

Don't keep driving it, if it is slipping, you'll lunch the box...

I'd hazard you've done damage though already
