A bit of a cheeky one this.

A friend of mine has an '07 plate supercharged Range Rover and has an issue with the alarm. It keeps going off even though it is apparently set to minimum sensitivity. Its' been back to the dealer 3 times and they say they can't find anything wrong. I said I would pose the question here and see if this is an isolated problem or if anybody has had similar issues.

Anyone got any experience of this?

Cheers.

just looked at autodata cd, could he try to deactivate interior by pressing LR button twice to see if the prob persists. just thinking it could be a sensor prob!

I encountered a similar prob on an L322 recently. Turned out it was the plunger switch at the back right corner under the bonnet not being properly pushed down when the bonnet was shut. As I recall it is mounted on a plastic bracket that can 'give' a bit. Gave it a temp fix by taping a thin washer on the bonnet at the spot where it hits the switch to push it down that little bit more. Crude I suppose but you can hardly see the black tape against the black paintwork and it saved the owner donating £200 to the main dealer for them to plug it in, find no faults then "adjust" the switch.
