I recently got my 2005 L322 and noticed that it would take an age (5 mins) to go from standard to off road.

No other faults. So had Land Rover take a look while it was due an MOT.

"New compressor required under warranty". OK wack it on.

Then when they did that "Not cleared fault, needs a valve block, not covered". Grrrrrrr, checked with warranty company and it is covered.

So that's going on now. I'm kinda glad too as that's the most costly part of the EAS.

I'm glad I transfered the remaining 4 months of warranty over within the required 7 days after private sale now!

What's the betting that the valve block doesn't cure the problem either:eek:

Next stop leaking front air bag:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Good luck, I await with baited breath the outcome:D

I've been under it and tested the air bags for leaks and they look in great shape, plus it does not drop.

I was hoping the whole lot needed replacing as it covered.

Dues back tomorrow, so we'll see.

Pressure relief valve on pipework next to pump. Throw it away and fit push fit elbow fitting pressed into the electrical connector block. The pr valve isn't needed and costs nothing to fix. Ask the garage if you can have the old parts.... useful spares.

Hi, After owning Nissan Patrols for 10+ years, I fancied a change to the "King of 4X4's"... Alas, thus far I'm thinking of buying back my trusty Patrol SGR for many reasons. However, I have a 2.5DSE & suffered the "Soft fault" then "Hard Fault" EAS for months, just because I was parked on a kerb overnight. (NS Wheels on kerb, OS on road).. :confused:first I'd get the 35mph warning, then an hour later the Dash lights would impersonate a Xmas tree, then after turning off & leaving the car for 30+ mins (Shopping) would return to find the car on its bump stops, and no fiddling with buttons would clear this!! My RR Handbook recommended 'Immediate Despatch To RR Dealership...Do not pass go or attempt to drive"!!
Upon speaking with a smaller, but acredited RR garage, they used the diagnostic Computer, reset the eas and charged me £55.00. It was re-booked in for after Xmas to replace a "Blocked Valve Rear Right"..Est £250 + ..more if they break something or find corrossion.:(
Discussing this scam with a fellow RR owner, he sold me some RR EAS Software & Leads for £40..00. As he advised that if it pumps up when reset, there is no "Blocked valve"....Anywhoo, So far no repeat of the above. If it does, I will just reset (Unles it is a true fault & will not pump up) Let me know if anyone wants to buy this software & leads (RR - USB) plug into your laptop & go, let me know as he has several in stock. Good luck.:D

I think you can get the lead and software for about £25 on ebay for the P38.

Software is a free download from www.rswsolutions.com Cable about a tenner so your fellow LR owner is no friend.:violent:
The problem is probably a height sensor, next time read the faults before you reset and post them on here for FREE advice.:D

Thanks for that Datatek, Hmmmm, my LR "Friend" is in need of a visit me thinks!!!! The fault before reset, read Valve Stuck RR ....if that tells you anything.
Cheers
