hello, can anybody tell me how many L series engined freelanders were made? I guess that would be from 1997-2000my. Mine is still going after 102k miles with no major problems...yet. If LR had stuck to this engine and maybe tweaked it a bit they would have had far fewer problems!

Cant tell you how many but 2 things to consider.
1. Most engine problems come from the 1.8 petrol, not either of the diesels.
2. Emission laws changed and I dont think the L series diesel would pass the newer tests.
