L-series replacement options

Quick question.
Series 1 2000MY Freelander 2.0D L series.
Bottom end is toast, so I'm trying to source an engine.
Will an L series from a similar year rover 200/400 fit?

I have a similar problem.

Engine died,bought one online and had a rover 45/200/400 sent.

Some bits are different like the fuel pump, turbo, sump.

Gonna see how it goes swapping bits over and see.

Ok, won't fit.
There's a lot of parts to change over but the main issue is that the oil drain from the turbo to block is lower down on the river lump.

The ird gets in the way.

On the river lump the place where the oil drain should be is a cast not a threaded connection.
