Hi Folks,

On my KV6 FReelander I notice the front coolant hose, the one that runs between the engine oil cooler and the Jatco gearbox fluid cooler, is actually touching the air conditioning compressor at 1 point.

Surely this cant be normal. I've installed the 3 usual clips to secure the hose to the body of the vehicle, but cant seem to eliminate that bend where it literally bends in to the air conditioning compressor. Is everyone else's like this as well? I'll try and tinker with it a bit this weekend.. does anyone move theirs away from the a/c compressor with a cable tie?

Or is the hose intended to touch the compressor?

Thanks from Australia :)

My cooler pipe was clipped away from the compressor. I'll post a picture later.

Can you post a picture or two?

There you go. The cooler pipe is clipped to the AC cable to clear the compressor.

Thanks Nodge, my clip must have fallen off some time, have just put another one on, the weight of the other hose when clipped to the coolant hose keeps it routed away from the a/c compressor. Thanks again.

To be honest, it's far from ideal. You might find turning the hose at the cooler stub to give it some "spring" helps keep the hose away from the compressor.

Hi Nodge

when i open my rear door the window does not go down slightly i have to push it down myself.
