Had to share this with you guys today ...

As most of you have guessed from my previous posts I am an rac patrol for my day job well I got called out to a disco 1 today ...

Symptom .. Wheel change spare
Notes ... Customer says wheel nut just spins round and round and can't get wheel off ...

So I ring him en route and he blames the wife saying he has had to come out to help her as she got a puncture and was rather rude about her driving ... Jacked up got four bolts off but the fifth one just keeps spinning !!!

So I turn up and hey presto lets pull the locking cap off and pop your locking tool on it ... Missus then piped up that he had been turning the cap round best part of 15 mins before ringing us ... How on earth the cap never came off in that time is beyond me but the satisfaction on her face was priceless ... He just stood there red faced whilst his Missus just smiled ...

I guess you had to be there but it was funny !!

lol, least he had key I guess, so many cars in at work (mechanic) where the customer doesn't have a clue where it its or if they ever had one.

My Disco didn't have locking wheel nuts. But that didn't stop a tyre fitter once spending 15mins searching for the key before ringing me to ask where it was.

Am glad am not the only one that has had this, even after telling the desk clerk that there were not locking wheel nuts.

I had to call the AA out when the wheel almost fell off my Range Rover, I had a good wheel, I had a wheel brace, but no sodding jack, 3 hours at the side of the road waiting for someone to just bring me a jack and to be told that I couldn't do my own wheel as I wasn't approved:eek::mad::rolleyes:

I've almost been at the stage of calling out green flag when my TD5 auto wouldn't start - luckily realised in time that it won't start if the box is in 'D'!!

Boy would that have been embarrassing

Ha that's funny I'm willing to bet he came up with some kind of excuse to his wife after you'd gone!!!!
