Hi who has the answer. I've heard everyone saying that they all have knocking from front end that sounds like anti roll bushes or cattle grids. Well I've been going mad trying to find the route cause. Took it to local Indy and he tells me it's the steering rack knocking internally. So spent money on a recon unit which was as bad so got them to exchange for another also the same. Still have the knocking. ANY CLUES IDEAS OR SOLUTIONS

+1 on the tightening, had same on one of mine found anti roll bar clamps loose, tightend bolts bit awkward but cured it, also check sub-frame mtg bolts and top strut nuts had them lose on one causing similar thing.

On 3rd steering rack in a week all the same with the rack in place and the ends off if you tap the end of the steering rack passenger side you can hear the knocking noise inside the rack. It's almost as of there were a bush it seal missing but I'm assured by the rack recon people that the racks are fine. I really want to get rid if the noise

That's easy, get rid of the car and buy something reliable:rolleyes:

These L322's suffer from track control arm ball joint failure. Because of the weight of these vehicles you can only tell by removing the front hub.
Heavy braking can bring the knocking on.

changed mine on n/s about 6 months ago & all good no knocking just remember not to tighten them up until you lower the vehicle off the jack so full pressure is applied

hmm,

we didn't do this when me and a friend changed the suspension arms on mine.

we changed the upper and lower arms, but they were fully tightened without lowing the weight of the car like your explaining...

can you explain in a bit more detail in regards to this ? do i need to put the tyre back on, lower the car back down and try and tighten up the arm with the tyre fitted and car sitting on the floor ?

sorry for the questions !

cheers
