I did post this in another section, but this one may be better. Is there anyone out there in the North Wales/Chester area that could give me a few hints on where to start with my 30yr old series III, petrol? I did have a Series II deisel and be though I am female, used to manage to sort it myself. Haven't got a clue where to start with a petrol engine, all that suck, squeeze, bang and blow stuff just confuses me! Anyone out there who could give me a bit of guidance? I just need a list of bits to replace, it does run, maybe just needs service bits. I'll only end pullin vital bits off in my heightened bimbo like state!

Doozils do that too! :D

They're fairly similar elementally, petrols just need a spark (from the spark plug) to burn the fuel, whereas your old doozil used the heat already present in the cylinder to ignite it. (Provided when cold from a glow plug)

Other than that servicing is all the same pretty much, change the oils filters etc.
 
After using the words "suck" "squeeze" "bang" and "blow" all in the same sentance I'd be surprised if yella's not already on his way round ;)
 
funnily enough, im goin ter hawarden(pronounced harden) tomorrow evening to drop my lad orf at the scout camp. send me a pm with your addy and ill pop round if yer like, but no funny business, ive heard about wimmin types luring un suspecting blokes by pretending their motors playin up

hahahahaha luv to be there to watch yella at work on this petrol enjin, cos wen his won't work who has to go an fix it fer him??????
 
ffs i gets er phone number, travells al the way over there, tells my lad he has ter wait in the motor cos im goin ter see someone ;), rings er fookin phone an it goes straight ter fookin voicemail. i tries another dozen fookin times an decides i better tek the fookin lad ome:rolleyes: :rolleyes:
