I've managed to turn my fully working eas until a completely dead eas!

I was working fine but leaking from the block so last night rebuilt the block with all new o-rings. That all went fine. However, for some stupid reason I decided to see what the compressor motor looked like inside. Took it apart, put it back together.

Now, the compressor won't run at all. Tried the eas unlock suite to manually turn it on but just hear a click but nothing from the compressor.

I think I've probably messed up something inside the compressor (but I don't know how?) however just thought I'd check here invade I'm missing something. For example on an e39 BMW with airbags, the car wont raise if it was on the bump stops until it was manually lifted a few cms.

No error codes on the car and just the single ride-height light is flashing as though the car is waiting for the pressure to build.

Bollocks.

How far did you dis-assemble the compressor?

Did you take the end plate of the motor off so the brushes extended out of their slots - did you manage to get the brushes held back so you could get the end plate back on?

It's bloody fiddly, but if you just pushed the end plate back on hoping for the best, the brushes could be out of position and not making contact.

Completely apart mate but did open up the brushes so it all went together.

Just taking it apart again now to check

Took it apart and it spins freely. Also hear a relay click when pressing compressor on but nothing.

Anyone know which pins to manually test the compressor or whether I've shorted it?

At the top of this (Range Rover) section you'll find the 'how to' offerings.
About the fourth one down is Wammers on checking the compressor and diaphrams.

Thanks, I'll have a go tonight. Can't believe taking it apart and putting it back together would render it completely inoperable but I'll find out later I suppose.

Basic rule of engineering. If something is working correctly don't strip it down to find out why it is doing so. Wait til it breaks then strip it to find out why it broke. :D:D:D

Fixed the compressor! Took it apart, put it back together for the second time and now works.

Something still not right though as the tank won't pressureise. Did the compressor test by holding my finger over the exit pipe and couldn't hold it there. Pipes going to and from the dryer have pressure but nothing else does. I was meticulous when doing the o ring seals in the block..

Any faults on the dash?
Otherwise you have made an error with the valve block.

No faults.

Yep, have to that apart and go trough it. Literally took one bit off at a time, replaced the seals then refitted. That's Saturday morning sorted. Anything in particular that stands out as being the cause?

I'd put one of the three values in the wrong way. All sorted now and no leaks!

Tank filled and up to height in around 5 minutes. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Only slight issue now is that the front rises by itself to full height sometimes. Getting more frequent. Drive pack? Oddly it goes back down after turning the car off.

Possibly the driver pack, could also be a height sensor, look at the sensors on live data.
